Silicone Gripper

Silicone Leg Gripper (Optional) — A thin silicone band that helps keep the shorts from riding up. Some athletes prefer the extra hold, while others prefer the natural feel without it.

Specs

Most women's tri shorts start as a men's pattern and get taken in at the waist. Ours don't. The Women's Oomph Pro Tri Shorts are built around a chamois designed specifically for female anatomy — for the best seat-to-saddle experience, training or race day.

  • Fit: Non-compressive, performance comfort fit
  • Breathable Pad: Perforated, breathable technical fabric
  • Water: Quick-dry, no water retention
  • Chamois: NAC™ Anti-Compression pad (gender-specific shape — designed for women)
  • Design: 3-piece ergonomic construction
  • Use: Swim, bike, run + everyday training
  • Gripper: Optional silicone leg gripper

Features & Benefits

Built For Comfort, Not Compression

  • Traditional tri shorts squeeze.
  • Ours support without restricting.
  • You’ll get the freedom of movement your body needs — especially during long rides and transitions.

Perforated Pad = Breathable Performance

  • Heat and sweat destroy comfort.
  • Our perforated technical pad increases airflow to keep you cooler and drier when the effort ramps up.

No Water Logging

  • Many tri shorts soak up water during the swim and stay heavy during the bike.
  • These shorts are designed to shed water instantly so you're not carrying extra weight through your race

Hand-Crafted Triathlon Padding

  • The pad is the heart of a tri short.
  • Each pad is hand-assembled to provide:
    • Support without bulk
    • Comfort on the bike
    • Minimal interference during the run
  • Designed specifically to create the best possible seat-to-saddle contact.

Designed For The Saddle

  • Most tri brands design shorts first…
Then hope they work on the bike.
  • We focused on the interaction between rider, saddle, and body.
  • That’s why these shorts pair perfectly with performance saddles like BiSaddle — creating a friction-free riding experience.

Why Most Tri Shorts Get It Wrong

These shorts are designed to support your body — not squeeze it.

Most brands push compression, which can:

• Restrict movement
• Increase pressure on contact points
• Reduce comfort over long rides

Why are our shorts different?

No Compression Fit

You’ll get the freedom of movement your body needs — especially during long rides and transitions.

No Water Retention

Won’t stay heavy after the swim.

Smarter Chamois

Holds shape under pressure instead of flattening out.

Increases Riding Duration

Comfortable enough for daily rides — not just race day.

Perforated breathable fabric

Our perforated technical fabric increases airflow to keep you cooler and drier when the effort ramps up.

Built for the Saddle

Designed around the rider-to-saddle connection — where comfort matters most.

Most athletes have one pair of shorts they tolerate… and one pair they actually reach for. These are the ones you’ll reach for.

FAQ

Are these compression shorts?

No. They are supportive but non-compressive, giving you freedom of movement and better comfort for long rides.

Will they hold water after the swim?

No. The fabric is designed to shed water quickly so they won’t stay heavy during the bike.

How thick is the pad?

The pad is optimized for triathlon balance — enough support for the bike while staying comfortable for the run.

What is the silicone leg gripper option?

The silicone leg gripper is a thin band of silicone integrated into the leg opening of the shorts. Its purpose is to help keep the shorts from riding up during riding or running.

Do I need the silicone leg gripper?

That depends on your preference.

Some athletes prefer silicone grippers because they keep the shorts perfectly in place during intense efforts.

Others prefer no gripper at all, especially if they value maximum comfort and freedom of movement. Also faster to get on.

Because preferences vary, we offer the option to choose whether or not your shorts include the silicone leg gripper.

Does the silicone gripper make the shorts tighter?

No. The silicone band does not change the overall fit of the shorts. It simply adds a light grip against the skin to help the legs stay in position.

Should I get the silicone leg gripper or not?

Choose the silicone gripper if you:

• Want the shorts locked in place

• Race aggressively or sprint often

• Prefer the traditional tri-short feel

Choose no gripper if you:

• Prefer a more relaxed feel

• Have sensitive skin

• Want maximum comfort and freedom

Both options provide the same seat-to-saddle comfort and padding performance.

How do these fit compared to the men's version?

They're not the same pattern resized. The women's Oomph Pro Tri Shorts are cut for a woman's hip-to-waist ratio and rise, with a chamois built specifically for female anatomy — not a smaller version of the men's pad.

What's the rise like — will they dig in when I'm in an aero position?

The rise is designed to sit comfortably through an aggressive or aero position without digging in at the waist or gaping at the back.

How much coverage do they offer?

Full coverage through the seat and upper leg for all-day wear on the bike and off it. If you want extra hold through the leg opening, add the optional silicone leg gripper at checkout.

How does the sizing compare to other women's tri shorts I've worn?

We size XS–XL. If you've worn other popular tri brands before, we are very similar; in the meantime, use the Size Guide above.
